MP3 was founded in Italy in 1978. In 1990 it became I.L.P.A. srl.
From its founding to today, the company has specialised in the supply of finished products in both traditional plastics (PS - polystyrene, PP – polypropylene, and PET - polyethylene terephthalate) and bio plastics (PLA - polylactic acid resin) in addition to sheet products (ABS, ABS PMMA and PS).
The new plant in Bazzano, inaugurated in 1998, rises on an 80,000m2 lot of which 45,000 m2 is covered space. The production capacity, the result of the most modern equipment in the sector, is 72,000 metric tons per annum with an ample margin for future growth, above all for export. Currently 67% of the company output is destined for export.
MP3 was one of the first companies in Italy to obtain the ISO 9001:2008 TÜV certification. Cutting-edge technology and service excellence have always been the company's primary objective and its achievement, together with 30 years’ experience, has made ILPA-MP3 a benchmark for the customers. A real and genuine “partnership” has been created between the company and its customers, because they know that they gain a strong competitive advantage and can actively participate in the development of materials for special applications.
