MP3 produces the ACRYLAC sheet by coextrusion of layers of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) and PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate) .

ACRYLAC is characterised by its excellent appearance, smooth surface, compactness and resistance to abrasions as well as excellent resistance to atmospheric agents.
It is specifically manufactured for indoor and outdoor use to meet the different market requirements and, thanks to the extremely versatile coextrusion process, the product can be suited to the specific customer needs.

The PMMA layer emphasizes the shine of the product, creates depth and colour and protects the ABS underneath from chemical attack by cleaning and disinfection products. Its hardness assures adequate protection against scratches and abrasions.

Available in three special versions:

• ACRYLAC PX 500 is mainly usable for thermoforming of bath and shower box panels, shower basins, washbasins, exterior or interior parts for the automotive and caravan sectors, household appliances, technical parts for outdoor use, ski boxes, etc.

• ACRYLAC TX 600 is more suitable  for thermoforming of bathtubs and large and deep products or with a particular design.

ACRYLAC TX 600 differs from PX 500 in that is has better impact strength and resistance to stress cracking. It is manufactured in conformity with the UNI-EN 13559  standards “Specifications for coextruded ABS/PMMA sheet for bathtubs and shower basins for domestic purposes”

COLOURS
A vast choice of colours in the standard range or alternatively various sample-based imitations. Various glossy and matt solutions are possible.
MP3’s engineering department is highly specialised in colour identification and imitation.

UV TREATMENT
Both product lines can be supplied with specifically designed master batches to provide enhanced resistance to UV rays, protecting the product against wear and colour changes.
This technical solution allows various applications: exterior parts for cars, buses, industrial vehicles, caravans, storage boxes, suitcases, swimming pool accessories, industrial and boating articles.
