MP3 2025: New Product Launches and International Growth
MP3 eXtrusion proudly operates within the ILPA Group, a leading European player in the production of thermoformed plastic and bioplastic food packaging, as well as in the field of plastic semifinished products intended for the agri-food sector and numerous other industrial sectors.
In addition to MP3 S.r.l., the Group is composed of two other companies that work in synergy along the entire supply chain: ILIP S.r.l. and AMP Recycling S.r.l.
Thanks to its extensive and specialized product range, ILIP S.r.l. is one of the main European players in the Foodservice Packaging and Fresh Food Packaging sectors, while AMP Recycling S.r.l. represents the core of the Group’s circular process. Specializing in the recovery of post-consumer PET packaging, AMP Recycling’s work enables the ILPA Group to maintain direct control over the quality of recycled raw materials, ensuring transparency and reliability in every phase of the production process.
2025 was an intense and highly dynamic year for MP3 eXtrusion, marked by significant milestones, new partnerships, and projects that strengthened our position within the international plastics industry. Our participation in major trade fairs – ISH, SPE Thermoforming Division USA, Buildexpo Africa, K 2025, and Agritechnica – allowed us to meet clients and partners from around the world, reinforcing our global presence and creating new opportunities for growth.

At ISH 2025, we enthusiastically presented the Red Label project, a special series of products dedicated to the sanitary sector, featuring unprecedented and exclusive colours designed to bring modern, refined, and aesthetically distinctive bathroom environments to life. Red Label represents an innovative approach to the concept of thermoplastic surfaces, where technical performance meets a strong visual identity tailored for professionals seeking high-quality design solutions.
Another key moment of the year was K 2025, where we launched New Cycle, a new class of high-specification products made with 99% Certified Post-Industrial Recycled (PIR) material (PSV). This line was created to concretely satisfy the market’s sustainability demands, offering our customers low-environmental-impact materials without compromising performance, even in the most technical and demanding applications.
New Cycle marks an important step in MP3 eXtrusion’s strategy toward a more circular and responsible economy.

At the same time, our R&D Center successfully advanced the development of the new CARBO series materials in PC ABS. As a result of an in-depth research process that included numerous certified tests and a detailed analysis of material properties, the new product line was previewed at the K trade fair. The CARBO series sheets are designed for sectors requiring high performance—such as agriculture, rail, and bus manufacturing—thanks to their excellent mechanical resistance, high impact absorption capacity, and self-extinguishing properties, which make them ideal for technical applications and environments subject to significant stress.
MP3 eXtrusion also continued to expand its range of exclusive products for the furniture market, offering sheets of incomparable quality and performance, reaffirming its leadership in the sector and strengthening the presence of our products in the world’s most demanding furniture manufacturers.
Finally, in 2025 MP3 eXtrusion, together with our R&D department and ILIP S.r.l., launched an important innovation project in the field of reels, focused on the development of a new bio-barrier polypropylene.
The material was developed in two versions: one based on PLA and one based on PLA and MATER-BI, both obtained through a co-extrusion process that integrates a central compostable layer with a gas-barrier function.
The solutions developed ensure a significant reduction in oxygen permeability, good chemical-physical properties, and high rigidity and thermoresistance. They are therefore particularly suitable for the thermoforming of packaging for oxygen-sensitive foods with a long shelf life, as well as for the thermoforming of non-toxic products that are mechanically resistant and have a low environmental impact.
During the year, a first extrusion trial was successfully carried out; the project will continue in 2026 with further development and industrialization activities.
We enter, then, 2026 with firm determination to carry forward our STRIVE29 growth plan. Enhanced service flexibility, investment in technology, and a strong focus on innovation will be the driving forces leading us toward the achievement of our strategic goals.
